Clear Lake is a reservoir in southern Alberta Canada in the M.D of Willow Creek. You'll find a playground, pit vault toilets, a large green space, the lake, day use spots with picnic tables and bbqs as well as a campground. Additionally there is a community centre hall right on the lake for event rentals. There have been many weddings booked at Clear Lake throughthr Stavely Elks Club. The lake has fun fishing opportunities for northern pike as well. There is a boat launch at the campground.
The hall is available for event rentals through the Stavely Elks Club. A beautiful spot for a family reunion or wedding style event. With picnic tables, bbqs a playground and large green space
Fishing with Bass Pro Shops "Boss Shads" for the win. I started using this set up for pike last year and they never disappoint. It's the perfect lip hook set every time!
There are at least 2 lakes named Clear Lake in Alberta. This one is located in southern Alberta near Stavely and Nanton east of Hwy 2. The other one that I am aware of is up north near Wainwright, Alberta, Canada.

Northern Pike have quite large teeth and can definitely attempt to bite you at times. Stay away from their mouths. Their gills are extremely sharp as well so keep you hands out of there too. There's a sweet spot under their jaw that is safe, for both of you, to get ahold of it properly. Be gentle and release with care when catch and release fishing.
Spring fishing for northern pike is always a fun time. They are nice and solid from the cold water and have a good amount of their winter weight on still. Spring and fall pike are always the most feisty.
These 8-12 pound pike are my favourite to catch. Although the 20+ pound fish are fun for photos, I don't find they have a lot of fight in them. Where as the ones between 8-15ish lbs always put up a fun fishing fight.
After a busy afternoon, I just wanted to take a few casts. So we hit the lake before sunset and caught a handful of pike. All catch and release. Open season fishing just started a week ago in some areas of southern Alberta
Little Seeker was quite excited to catch and reel in a fair sized northern pike! She has caught small perch before but this was certainly the biggest one to date. Mommy and me fishing adventures are always so fun. I'm glad she enjoys fishing as well!
