During our rafting day, adrenaline was high as waves surged and paddles cut through rushing rapids. The thrill of teamwork on the water was perfectly balanced by laughter and moments of calm drifting between sections. Moreover, expert guides ensured safety, while the natural beauty of the Ottawa Valley surrounded us. Memories were made with every splash, and the excitement of Whitewater Rafting on the Ottawa River was captured in every frame.

At OWL Rafting, camping was more than just a place to sleep—it was an experience. We brought our own camper trailer and spent our evenings stargazing beside the communal campfire. Whitewater Brewing Company craft their own local beers and have many options. All canned though, so no craft beer flight on this trip. Farmer's Daughter is a crowd favourite.

Friends who raft together - stay together! We were fortunate enough to have our good friends and all of our kids in the same raft. Part way through the river we pulled off to a small island for a quick drink, snack, cliff jumping, and photo ops.

When the guide shouts "Hold on!" you stop paddling, duck down, grab the rope inside the raft and enjoy the thrill! Be prepared to get very wet!

All geared up and ready to hop on the bus to the put-in! After the safety briefing, time is given for everyone to grab a paddle, lifejacket and helmet. Plenty of guidance is provided to help everyone choose appropriate clothing to raft in.

A short walk from OWL Rafting is the Whitewater Brewing Company Riverside Pub. This pub has a large outdoor deck and offers stunning views of the Ottawa River.
