The Fundy Footpath is one of the most challenging wilderness hiking trails in Canada. Over its 64.3 km length it features over 10,000 ft in elevation changes. One of the longest descents we did on the trail was down into Little Salmon River. Thankfully a series of switchbacks made navigating the extremely steep slope manageable.
