In 2019 I sold my house and donated most of my possessions to fund a #Hike4Birds across Canada on the 28,000 km long Trans Canada Trail (formerly the Great Trail). My partner Sean and I started in Cape Spear, Newfoundland on June 1st, 2019, and we are walking west to Victoria, British Columbia, and then heading north toTuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories. Our goal is to promote diversity, accessibility, and multiculturalism outdoors while striving to connect youth with nature through birding, Citizen Science, and exploration. I am a member of the Explorer's Club of Canada, a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and a Pathfinder of the Trans Canada Trail. In 2021 I led a Royal Geographical Society Expedition, and I was a finalist for the Canadian Museum of Nature's 'Nature Inspiration Award', winner of the Universal Women's Network's 'Inspire Award', and recipient of the Canadian Wildlife Federation's 'Hodgkiss Outdoorsperson of the Year Award.' Sean and I invite you to 'Come Walk With Us' as we visit 15,000 communities across Canada on the Trans Canada Trail!
