The Sundre Aquaplex building is a fantastic community centre open to the public. If you're looking for somewhere to bring the kids while exploring Sundre in central Alberta, we definitely recommend popping by the Aquaplex! They offer public swimming basically everyday, as well as fitness swim classes, parent and tot swims and much more.
The best part of the Sundre Aquaplex is definitely the waterslide! There is also a fair sized toddler pool, and of course the gigantic Olympic size pool with a diving board. Visiting their website is the easiest and best way to see the swim schedule each month.
Additionally, the Sundre Aquaplex building is home to the local 24hr fitness centre! Members are given a key fob for after hours use, to work out whenever they want. The fitness centre overlooks the pool in many areas, making it easy to get a work out in while the kids swim!

The whirlpool effect in this little hot tub is quite strong and relaxing. There are typically 2 life guards keeping an eye on everything and checking the water quality of all the pools.

Visiting the swimming pool in December is rather nice because it's a quite time in town. Therefore you can find the pool all to yourself sometimes. Festive and decorated for Christmas to add that bit of cheer.

The Aquaplex is tucked behind the Curling Rink in town. Easy to miss. Pull into the Curling Rink parking lot and the Aquaplex is just in behind at the back of the parking lot. There is a drop off zone, as well as a large parking area.

December is a quiet time in Sundre. There are a few events and markets to visit, as well as the expansive backcountry here. But the swimming pool is a fantastic option with the big waterslide!
