Alouette Lake is a beloved area in Golden Ears Provincial Park BC. Surrounded by beautifully forested mountain ranges, it is one of the lower mainland's most popular destinations for boating, swimming and picnics. Alouette Lake's South Beach is an ideal day trip location enjoyed by many. As it is very popular the park is subject to periodic closures when the parking lots fill, so it is best to plan to arrive before 11:00am.

Alouette Lake is a popular destination for swimming, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing, boating and fishing. There is a roped off swimming area with an 8km per hour speed limit.

This is a fantastic picnic location and a place to spend the day with friends and family. Picnic benches have BBQ attachments. Alouette's South Beach attracts a very diverse group of people enjoying time with the families and cooking up their traditional foods making the park smell fantastic. Seeing all the different and gourmet picnics is inspiring, clearly I need to improve my picnic game.
