Spolumbo’s is a Calgary landmark in the Inglewood neighbourhood which is near the Calgary Zoo. This is a busy area, however Spolumbo's has its own parking. This is their only location, so it is home to their restaurant, deli, and it is where they make their famous sausages.

Spolumbo's is one of the best places for lunch in Calgary. They have a fantastic selection of mouthwatering traditional Italian deli cold cuts, hot specialities, and classic deli sandwiches to choose from. If you are hungry you can get a soup or salad on the side.

Spolumbo's has a wall of urban wines that you can pour yourself. We didn't give this a try; however, I have seen beer wall like this before. If it operates the same way, then staff would give you a wine bar card. The card measures how much win is poured and charges accordingly. The system also limits the amount per pour.

Pack a cooler, because you are going to want to take some of these gourmet, and low-fat sausages home. Spolumbo's makes all natural sausages. There are no fillers, no binders, and no preservatives. The sausages are also gluten free.

It looks like you need to get here early. We arrived in the early afternoon and most of the display cabinet had already been sold.

Enjoying lunch at Spolumbo's in Calgary is a joy. Not is it locally owned and operated; the food is also great. I love how community-minded the owners are. Having grown up playing sports, they experience firsthand the support and the generosity of the community. Because of this, they decided that if they ever had the opportunity that they wanted to give back too by supporting the causes and events that the community cares about.
