Chillin' N Tubing has a great set-up and makes your adventure down the river stress-free. Reservations are required in advance but you pay once you get there.

The best way to get into the tube was to wade a little way in the river, grab both handles and sit back into the tube. We had a couple of close calls but no one fell in the river.

It’s approx. a 15-min ride on the bus to the launch point. You then float down the river to Chillin' N Tubing’s site; back to where the cars are parked.

The Chillin' N Tubing crew will tether your tubes together if you want. We tethered around the cooler tube and it looked like a Daisy. The only downside is that someone was always facing backwards.

We made a couple of stops to swim in the Vermillion River. It took us 3 ½ hours to float down the river. Make sure to bring drinks (non-alcoholic), snacks, hats & sunscreen with you. Water shoes are not necessary but recommended.

It’s approximately a 30-min drive North of Sudbury to Chillin' N Tubing near Chelmsford. The road was well-signed and the last part, on gravel, was fairly smooth.

Chillin' N Tubing; Registration, Change Rooms, and Tube storage building.
The Porta Potties (washrooms) were fairly clean, even at the end of the day.

The Porta Potties (washrooms) were fairly clean, even at the end of the day.
They have adult and child-size tubes available to rent. Plus, cooler tubes to carry snacks and valuables.
Life jackets are mandatory and also handed out here.

Life jackets are mandatory and also handed out here.
It was approximately a 15-min ride to the launch point on Vermillion River. The roads were a little rough but, the bus driver handled it well. Watch out for the tree branches!!!

The Chillin' N Tubing crew brought the tubes and paddles in a trailer and handed them out at the river launch point. Everyone had a stamp so they knew which tubes to give out.

Once we were in our tubes, it was a relaxing float down the river. Unlike Elora Gorge, there are no rapids on this river. It’s the same relaxing pace all the way.

t was easy to see the end point of our float. The Chillin' N Tubing buildings were easily seen as we came around the last turn in the river and the staff was on hand to help us out of the tubes.
