There’s nothing quite like stepping behind the scenes of one of Canada’s biggest music nights.
We had the unique opportunity to attend the Juno Awards of 2026 in Hamilton, Ontario - not just as guests, but as seat fillers! Alongside fellow adventure seeker Lisa Muldoon and her friend Heather, Jeff and I set out for an experience we won’t forget.
We arrived early (5:45 PM!) to line up, soaking in the excitement before heading inside around 6:30 PM for the pre-show. While we ended up not being needed for official seat-filling duties, we still scored an incredible behind-the-scenes glimpse and a great view for the live broadcast.
From the buzz of the unique Skip the Dishes orange carpet to unforgettable performances and even a blink-and-you-miss-it moment on TV, it was such a fun, uniquely Canadian adventure.
Mae Martin was the perfect host- funny, effortless, and kept the whole night flowing seamlessly!
These are the moments that remind us to say yes to the unknown - it can turn into something unexpectedly special when you say yes and embrace it.

Our official seat filler info sheet - proof we were part of the behind-the-scenes crew (even if we didn’t get called into action!).

First look at the stage during the Junos 2026 pre-show. Seeing it before the crowd filled in made it feel even more special.

Our “15 seconds of fame” during the Junos 2026. We were on TV (somewhere in the dark!), right where we were sitting during the performance...lol
