Blaeberry River starts up in the mountains and runs down into the Columbia River. There are a few hiking trails that can lead you up this way, or a backroad to take you to the Thompson Falls Recreation area. We were exploring the opposite side of the river across from the rec area on this adventure.
Thompson Falls is nearby if you're looking for a more adventurous waterfall experience.
Blaeberry Gorge is currently full of washed down trees, but it's still a beautiful area to check out.
Keep you eyes out for the natural heart shaped pothole along the riverbank!
This heart shaped pothole was a highlight of the area. I love finding heart shaped rocks, and this was a super rare thing to see along the Blaeberry River.
Just across the river from where we parked, is the Thompson Falls Recreation Area. If you have time to explore, you'll be rewarded with gorgeous views and waterfalls nearby.
A gorgeous area of Canada, Blaeberry River offers amazing views and is a grewt basecamp area for further adventures along the river, or in the Howse Pass.
I learned that this beautiful river is also a fun area to fish. There are kokanee and rainbow trout swimming around in this mountain river in British Columbia.
The way the water shapes the surrounding rocks is always fascinating to me. There was no shortage of cool, smooth, rock formations along Blaeberry Creek in B.C.
The mess of trees makes this an extra interesting area, and a bit more intimidating. The thought of getting caught up in those trees if you fell in, is actually quite scary.
