Canada Adventure Seeker Diana Mohrsen and I had an opportunity to meet up at the Richmond Nature Park in Richmond BC. We thought we would both share our experience exploring the park together. This album is based on my experience at the park and meeting Diana. Some fun pics and some practical park photos.
The walking trails in the park are so peaceful and serene, but this was our favourite spot during our Richmond Nature Park adventure. Who doesn't love having an amazing playground to themselves?
Guess, I am still a kid at heart and always looking for tunnels to crawl through and forts to play in. This is a natural log tunnel from what was once a gigantic west coast tree.
The Pond Trail is a wheelchair accessible 0.35km raised boardwalk at the Richmond Nature Park. Diana stopped to look for wild blueberries and blackberries.
There are two natural trails covered in wood chips for walkers to enjoy. The Bog Trail is 1.8km long and the Time Trail is 1.3km winding through a forested part of the park.
The trails offer visitors a serene nature walk that makes the hustle and bustle of the city feel miles away even though the park is located in the heart of the City of Richmond BC.
The Nature House has a variety of wildlife, live animals and interactive displays and games. There is even a naturalist on staff to answer any questions.
What makes an afternoon at a park more enjoyable? Nice washrooms of course! These are conveniently located near the playground. Perfect for young families.
Pro tip, when going on an outdoor adventure, always let someone know where you are going. The Richmond Nature Park has outdoor education tip and activities throughout the park
