Manuels River Walking Trails in Conception Bay South Newfoundland Canada are a must do attraction for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Located on the islands Avalon Peninsula, the trail system is a part of the CBS T’railway and paths lead to a rocky beach near Worsley Park with spectacular views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Furthermore, the beautiful trails are well maintained and rated easy with park benches, garbage cans, footbridges, ample signage and informative displays by Ducks Unlimited Canada. The trails and river area appear to be popular for families with children and visitors and locals alike have been spotted taking a dip in the magical Manuels River. Additionally, the area is a well known area for ancient fossils and visitors must not disturb or remove any fossils that may be discovered. The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre is located a short distance West of Manuels River Bridge on Route 60 and visitors can opt to take a guided tour to the fossil site or take a self-guided audio tour of the historic natural area. The trail system stretches over 5 km and some areas are wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly.
Manuels River walking trails are home to many NL ducks and educational signage is present near the wetland areas for bird watchers and those interested in learning more about ducks and birdwatching. Be sure to take your binoculars!!
