A pocket beach is a small beach that is isolated between two headlands. There is typically very little to no exchange of sediment between the pocket beach and adjacent shorelines. Fenn Beach is really part of the Cordova Bay and isn't by proper definition a pocket beach because its headlands are not very long and water flows around freely, but it does resemble a little pocket carved out of the larger bay.
