Located near Sundre Alberta, Burnstick Lake Resort's only overnight camping available is in this cool glamping dome. The resort is closer to the town of Caroline. The resort itself is full of yearly campers, some having been there for an obviously long time. Wonderful set ups around the resort. The glamping dome is tucked into its own private section with a bit of a lake view through the trees. A beautiful Stargazer theme is carried throughout the dome with cute items to bring it all together. There is a small beach area, as well as fishing docks and a playground on site. A super fun unique camping experience on Burnstick Lake in central Alberta

An absolutely heart warming welcome when we arrived at the Stargazer Dome. It was my birthday the day we arrived. I'm not sure I totally have words for how special this made me feel. The absolute highlight of my birthday for sure and the most thoughtful gesture of the day
We were the 1st guests to ever get to stay at the Stargazer Dome and they really spoiled us with birthday gifts and fun stargazing themed items as we were the inaugural guests
A private camping resort, now open for overnight guests to stay and experience the beautiful Burnstick Lake Resort. Their year round campsites have a waiting list, and it is easy to see why
It was a rainy and cold day in mid August for us to arrive. But it didn't take long for the rain to go away and the skies to clear right up. Our 1st evening the sky really showed why they call it the Stargazer Dome. So many stars came out!
The morning sunrise was beautiful in the Burnstick Lake Resort Stargazer Dome. They said they are ordering bigger curtains, but don't miss the sunrise by keeping them closed when they do change them up :)
A trail down to the Burnstick Lake docks and beach is located right where you park your vehicle at the camping dome. Convieniently located for quick access from the site.
It's quite the elevation drop as you head from the campsite down to the beach. It was only a short hike down, less than 5 minutes for sure. You can drive down as well, and park near the boat launch if you are unable or uncomfortable hiking down
If you fish, especially fly fishing, it's always good to keep an eye on what stage the seasonal insects are at to help match your presentation to the fish.
Little seeker asked if she could pet the perch before putting it back into the lake. Definitely a different texture for a toddler to explore, and perch are resilient little things.
