Being a 1km hike with 41 meters elevation gain, this one is fairly simple for most hikers. Walk along the riverbank, then head up through the trees and walk across the open field with amazing mountain views and of course the waterfall!
A toddler friendly hike in Alberta Canada. My 3 year old did this trail completely unassisted.
Bighorn Falls is sometimes referred to as Lower Bighorn Falls, I'll have to go see if I can find the upper ones another time.
Bighorn Falls is worth the drive to Ya Ha Tinda! It's a dusty gravel road through the PLUZ to this destination. But the road in was in fairly good shape with minimal potholes and phenomenal views. Keep an eye out for the wild horses!
Ya Ha Tinda bumps right up to the border of Banff National Park on the north east side. You're treated with amazing mountain views and easy open fields

If you were to walk the riverbed to the falls, there is a nice pool at the base. The water was quite high so we took the high route above the waterfall
