One of Hamilton, Ontario’s most popular outdoor winter skating rinks is located at Pier 8, nestled along the picturesque harbourfront area. The outdoor skating rink at Pier 8 transforms the waterfront into a winter wonderland, offering a memorable ice skating experience during the winter months. Skaters of all ages and skill levels enjoy the smooth ice, cleared by the zamboni frequently throughout the day. The atmosphere is enchanting, with the twinkling lights surrounding the rink creating a magical ambiance. The Hamilton Harbourfront's outdoor skating rink at Pier 8 offers a fantastic recreational activity for visitors of all ages to create winter memories. Weather permitting, the rink is open from 10am to 10pm. Skate rentals are also available for $10.

This is a great indoor space where you can tie your skates and get ready to go on the ice. This area also attaches to a coffee shop, which is the perfect spot to have a hot drink after the skating is done.

The benches along the edge of the rink are a great spot for spectators to sit and watch the skaters on the ice. The sidewalk on this side of the rink is concrete, and not skate friendly.

The rubber area around the outside of this part of the rink is a safe spot for skates to walk. The zamboni driver must wait until the ice is completely clear before heading out onto the ice.
