Gainford is a tiny hamlet of 118 people in Parkland County, Alberta. It is 86km west of Edmonton on Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway) near Isle Lake and Seba Beach on Wabamun Lake. The Gainford Hotel first opened its doors to welcome guests in 1958. Later, the doors closed for what most thought would be forever in 2013. Fast forward to 2023 and the Gainford Hotel is welcoming guests once more. Although the hotel hasn't reopened, the Iron Lady Saloon along with Java and Gem Get Stuffed Restaurant have.
