Exploring the Ghost Town of Lille Alberta Canada

Lille is a long abandoned coal town found in southern Alberta. It is part of Alberta's Crowsnest Heritage Tour and is found deep in the mountains. Not a likely spot to find an old town, but they pop up in some unexpected places.

This trail is ATV friendly and takes a few hours to complete. There is a small townsite with interpretive signs, old Bernard Coke Ovens, a tiny cemetery, and gorgeous trail scenery.

Take the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre road until you reach the cleared out pipeline construction. That's where you'll turn left and go until you cannot drive any further. You'll find a small parking area if you make it right to the end. There will be a trail sign so you know you're in the right place.

Explore the Crowsnest Pass!
