Exploring Beaver Lake near Sundre, Alberta, Canada. This is a small conservation area, with a few parking spots, a day use area, boat launch and a small stocked trout fishing lake. It was a lovely October afternoon walking around checking out the many different ways on Beaver Lake.
There is a stocked trout program in Alberta, and Beaver Lake is on the list. Most recently, they've added tiger trout to the lake. This lake is closed from December to March, so not an ice fishing lake. Additionally, absolutely no bait allowed here. This is mainly a fly fishing destination.
Located between Caroline and Sundre. Not far from Burnstick Lake, on a gravel road.
Beaver Lake Conservation Site is a day use area only. No motorized boats allowed on the lake here. So just your paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and other hand paddleboard watercraft.

With them though come some dangers. Aeration lakes will have thin ice near those areas and are not safe to play around.
A couple picnic tables sit along the shoreline of Beaver Lake. You must walk from the parking lot over to the day use spot. You cannot just pull up to the picnic table
