From the Lorne Calvert Campground in the Wakamow Valley, just over the bridge you will quickly find a trail alongside the Moose Jaw River. The Lorne Calvert Loop Trail, a section of the River Park walking trails, is a 2.4km walking trail around the campground and the adjacent riverside.
There are multiple playgrounds in the Wakamow Valley, as well as fantastic scenery along the riverside. Additionally, you there are a few interpretive signs along the way.
There is a small dock set up near the bridge and entrance to the campground that they refer to as the fishing dock. It's a beautiful spot to rest along the Moose Jaw River.
The Wakamow Valley Park has many smaller parks found inside the area. You'll come across this large pavilion straight across the river from the Lorne Calvert Campground.
Another awesome feature of the Wakamow Valley area in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, would be the number of fun playgrounds found along the riverside. Large colourful play structures are plentiful while exploring the Lorne Calvert Loop trail
Previously known as River Park Campground, this area was renamed after the former Premiere of the province. Additionally, the Lorne Calvert Loop Trail was previously named the River Park Walking Trail.
