Transfer Beach Park in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island was once the site of coal transfer to Vancouver.

The land is now a park which features the largest outdoor amphitheater on Vancouver Island and holds live music events during summer months. The park is wheelchair accessible.

So many possibilities: swimming, picnicking, horseshoe pitch, off leash dog park, trails for walking or jogging, a large playground with a water feature for kids, kayak and paddleboard rentals. Then when you're hungry, there is a food truck(s), picnic tables, and a shelter.

All of this and one of the best views overlooking Ladysmith Harbour.
