Rebel Garage describes themselves as a coffee bar, culture space and arts venue. By day they are a neighborhood coffee bar in the Burnside community of Victoria, BC, serving local Discovery Coffee, Saltchuck Pies, and Darling Cake Company desserts. However, at night they transform into a special event space catering to live music, arts and stand-up comedy! In keeping with the motorcycle theme, they host bike nights every Tuesday from 5PM to 8PM.

While known to cater to the local motorcycling community, everyone is welcome at the Rebel Garage Cafe located on 1 Burnside Road West. It's a coffee shop and culture space attached to the Rebel Ink tattoo parlor! One of Rebel Garage's co-owners, Nick Martel, who opened Rebel Garage in 2023 built everything in the cafe himself.

However, there were interesting feature coffees listed on the chalkboard outside. I decided on the blackberry oat flat white. I will have to come back and try the Honey Nut Cheerio latte another time. The blackberry oat flat white was delicious, very smooth with a tangy-sweet undertone of blackberry.

A collection of board games was stacked in a corner, and among all the BC license plates, can you spot a hint of Ontario influence? Nick based Rebel Garage on the concept of a hometown spot in Hamilton, Ontario called Steeltown Garage, a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that was "the spot for bikers." I wonder if it is still there.
