Come skate on Big Rideau Lake in Portland, Ontario on January 28th and 29th! SKATE THE LAKE is an annual skating race held in Portland, Ontario. The event offers 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K races, along with a 5x1K relay and a 5K kids race. In addition to the races, the weekend will be full of winter fun with sleigh rides, bonfires, fireworks, public skating, and a DJ hosted music and light show. Food and drink concessions will be available for purchase.

Sonya Richmond I think so. They started the event in 2004 and it used to be called The International Big Rideau Lake Speed Skating Marathon. I agree, More ...
