The bull riding competition at the annual rodeo event is held every year in the interior community of Merritt. The rodeo generates extremely important revenues for the community and fits well with the regions brand of cowboys, cowgirls, ranches and western culture.

Throughout the Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo event are other activities besides bull riding like barell racing, roping, and trick riding. Then there are the numerous food vendors and cowboy culture retail booths. Wear your cowboy hat, sling on some cowboy boots, maybe a fancy scarf and head on down to the Nicola Valley Rodeo.
