Darts Hill Garden Park in Surrey British Columbia Canada
Darts Hill Garden Park is a beautiful 7.5 acre hillside garden in Surrey BC. This is a plantsman's garden, with trees, shrubs and perennials collected from around the world.
This began as private acreage belonging to Edwin and Francisca Darts. Slowly they transformed their land guided by Francisca Darts' love of horticulture. In 1994 they donated the garden to the City of Surrey and its citizens.
I've been hearing about this garden for a long time but never seemed to find the time to visit it. It is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays only from April through to the end of September. This might have been my first visit to this lovely garden but it will not be my last. What an lovely and peaceful spot of land. I can't wait to return.

It's so important to have gardens tucked away in urban areas for people to get away to some green space.
