Canoeing the Tay River into Perth Ontario
The weather was perfect for a relaxing paddle down the Tay River into Perth, Ontario.
We saw lots of turtles and birds, including herons on our way down the river.
Very pretty scenery with was lots of lush vegetation along the shore.
It took 90 mins from Glen Tay to Perth with only 1 short portage through a golf course.

I loved the waterlilies and the turtle. Also, the many bridges.

Diana Mohrsen, thanks! I think there were 6 bridges total - all different. And, lots of turtles but hard to get a picture before they jumped backDiana Mohrsen, thanks! I think there were 6 bridges total - all different. And, lots of turtles but hard to get a picture before they jumped back into the river. They heard us way before we got close - a talkative bunch. We heard lots of 'plops'.
