Exploring the Back Bay Ice Falls in Yellowknife, NWT
Join us on our latest adventure as we journey into the icy wonderland of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, to explore the breathtaking natural phenomenon of the Back Bay Ice Falls.
We trekked along a path leading to an amazing view of Great Slave Lake. Then, followed the shoreline and passed through Back Bay Cemetery to reach the Ice Curtains. Returning on the marked trail, we completed a 3km loop.
Bundle up as it can be quite windy on the Lake. Snow grips for your boots and walking sticks are highly recommended as some sections of this hike can be slippery.
