Our five-day canoe trip began with a scenic train ride from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada to the remote community of Biscotasing, where we unloaded our canoes and gear and began our adventure. After packing our canoes, we set off to paddle the West Branch of the Spanish River in Ontario, Canada, making our way through stretches of calm flatwater as well as some sections of moving water. As we journeyed onward, we came across sections of whitewater, testing both our paddling and portaging skills. Each evening, we set up camp in tents along the river’s edge, ate some delicious food, and enjoyed a peaceful campfire with amazing stars. The breathtaking scenery of towering trees, rocky shorelines, and serene skies made every day enjoyable on the West Branch of the Spanish River in Ontario, Canada.
