The grey owl statue in Portage la Prairie was erected as a commemorative art piece to celebrate Manitoba's official bird. The statue sits on the residential property of 27 Pine Crescent. A collaborative effort of Jake Goertzen and Bryan Mitchell. The friendly owl is 13 feet tall, weighs 2,140 pounds, and is made of an estimated 6,000 pieces of steel welded together.
