Green Timbers Lake in Surrey British Columbia Canada

Green Timbers is a large, mostly forested, park in the heart of Surrey BC. There are many well maintained trails and I have yet to explore all of the possibilities.

In one part of the park there is Green Timbers Lake and this is a favourite place for me to go walking. The lake is stocked with fish and usually there are several people there with fishing gear. Licences are required for adults.

The path around the lake has numerous benches and there are always lots of ducks or dragonflies to watch. On the far side of the lake, the pathway goes through the forest before returning to the parking lot. I always go walking with a friend because of the "forest". On my last walk we saw indications that a rather large animal had been sharpening its claws on a tree trunk. Hopefully in the daytime they stay far from the paths and only come out at night.
