Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto, Ontario performed Bad Hats' Alice in Wonderland. The show was a contemporary spin on Wonderland that took the audience down the rabbit hole with Alice, a girl with a lot of questions. The talented performers of this fantastic family musical brought this classic tale to life. The production took place at the Young Centre for Performing Arts, located in the historic setting of the Toronto's Historic Distillery District. The cobblestone streets and preserved Victorian architecture of the Distillery District, set the stage for an enchanting theatre experience in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We were provided with a program for the performance, but we were able to hand it back to the ushers for them to recycle to use for another show.

The stage area and props were simple, but effective. The performers did all of the changing and moving of the props and stage pieces to create different scenes throughout the performance.

The theatre layout was unique in that there were seating areas on both sides of the stage. The performers were in the middle of the audience and so all of the seats had a great view surrounding the performance.

The lobby for the Young Centre for the Performing Arts had plenty of table and chair space for guests to sit and wait for their show or enjoy a snack or a drink from the cafe.
