Beside Mackie House and the beach of Mackie House is Sovereign Park and Sovereign Park Beach. The park itself (not the beach) has picnic tables, washrooms, and a beautifully manicured beach volleyball set up.
While the beach has several different locations to swim (again no lifeguards).
