By Cary Horning in Saskatchewan 487 views 21st Mar, 2024 Video Duration: N/A   401 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0W5, Canada

The Historic Grant Hall Hotel in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan Canada is an elegant hotel that took years of hard work and millions of dollars to restore. Grant Hall is absolutely stunning today.

Built in 1927 and named after the V.P. of Canadian Pacific Railway, the original Hotel was active for over 60 years closing in 1989. The 5 story hotel fell into disrepair and was almost demolished until 2001 when Verna Alford purchased it for $1. All 115 windows were smashed, and the basement had 3 feet of putrid water. When Verna took her mother to see what she bought for a dollar, Verna's mother told her to go get her money back. It was going to be a daunting task to restore Grant Hall. Verna and her brothers Erwin and Alvin put years of hard work and 14 million dollars into making Grant Hall what it is today, one of Saskatchewan's finest hotels. Grant Hall is now under new ownership and is truly a must-visit destination in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
