Newfoundland and Labrador form the most easterly province of Canada. Gros Morne National Park, on the Gulf of St Lawrence, has dramatic cliffs, waterfalls and glacial fjords. The colorful and hilly capital St. John’s, in the southeast, is known for 17th-century Signal Hill citadel.
Moose are plentiful in Newfoundland numbering approx 125,000 animals since 4 Moose were introduced to the island back in 1903. The dense lush forests are the perfect habitat for Moose to thrive in. Take a drive around the Irish Loop and visit quaint towns and villages along the coast. The people are warm and friendly and the scenery is spectacular.
