The Barrie pathway is a great walking route for traveling from one end of downtown to the other. It is in close proximity to many attractions, accommodations, restaurants, banks and downtown services.
Misery Bay Provincial Nature Reserve is an park destination on the shores of Lake Huron popular sightseeing and hiking. The nature reserve was was created to protect the natural eco systems in the region including the wildlife, rare plants, wetland habitat and, something called, alvar.
The trail is a popular destination for birding, biking, walking, sightseeing, picnicking and dog walking (on leash). Located along the trail are day use picnic tables, information signs, viewing platforms and sightseeing benches.
The highlights of the park include whitewater rapids, three sandy beaches and the many water sport activities enjoyed on Dogtooth Lake. The whitewater rapids plummet down from Dogtooth Lake to Blindfold Lake.

The Jim Gordon Walkway measures 2 kilometres long and follows the shores of Ramsey Lake. The trail connects Bell Park with the attraction named Science North. The recreation and sightseeing trail is paved with a section of boardwalk.
At 21-metres, Webster's Falls is a beautiful tiered waterfall surrounded by manicured parkland and treed trail. Explore it on its own or continue on to nearby Tews Falls and Dundas Peak for a more extensive walk.

McLeod Park is the most popular sightseeing park in the community. The park is located on the north end of the waterfront pathway which is referred to as the Harbourfront greenbelt.
Activities enjoyed on the beach include swimming, sun tanning and sightseeing. The views from the beach stretch out across Kempenfelt Bay with the city skyline as a backdrop. Often there are also views of marine activity.
This 4 KM hiking trail "Colombia Hills Loop" in Waterloo, ON is considered a moderately challenging route & takes around 1 h 15 min to complete. This is a popular area for hiking and running. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
The long sandy beach rests on the shores of Wawa Lake and it is a main feature of the community. There is a beach house, picnic tables, washrooms, pier, crane exhibit and a floating dock for swimming.
