Sioux Narrows

The trail route begins near the Mattagami Park in Timmins, Ontario and continues along Norman Street and concludes near the Lafleur Bridge. A combination of side streets and pathways provide a loop route exploring both sides of the river.

A paved 550 metre walkway follows the banks of the river leading to exhibits including a tug boat, sculpture, monument and railroad train.

The Mississagi Lighthouse and Heritage Park is a travel destination popular for sightseeing located on the far east end of the island near the village of Meldrum Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Summer activities enjoyed in the park include hiking, sightseeing, camping, biking, picnicking, swimming and wildlife watching. During the winter months the trails combine to form 15 kilometres of groomed xc ski trails.

Decorating the paths are many sightseeing benches which come in handy when birding or listening to the many song birds which frequent the park. Amenities in the Sunnidale Park include a large children's playground, pit toilets, parking lot, off leash dog area and the Dorian Parker Centre.

The Pigeon River Provincial Park measures about 949 hectares (2345 acres). The large park and river valley are well known for its deep gorges, rock walls, waterfalls, white water river rapids and canyon cliffs.

The highlights of the park include whitewater rapids, three sandy beaches and the many water sport activities enjoyed on Dogtooth Lake. The whitewater rapids plummet down from Dogtooth Lake to Blindfold Lake.

Kenora

Devil’s Punchbowl Falls is a ribbon waterfall, 37 meters high and 3 meters wide. The Punchbowl is a significant geological formation carved by the swirling action of glacial melt water 10-12,000 years ago. There is a great viewing platform and hiking area.

The provincial park measures 5,294 hectares. The main part of the park centres around Fushimi Lake. Surrounding the lake are more lakes, rivers and a boreal forest consisting of spruce, poplar, balsam, birch and eastern white cedar trees.

The 60 hectare (147 acre) park is best explored by a network of recreation trails. The main double-wide trail leads explorers to historic venues and to other services and amenities like a day use picnic area, playground, hobby farm, concession and craft boutique.

The memorial pays tribute to Terry Fox from Port Coquitlam, B.C. who attempted to run across Canada (5300 miles) with a prosthetic leg in an effort to increase awareness and to raise money for cancer.

A deep gorge canyon is the sightseeing attraction in the Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park. The canyon gorge measures over 3 kilometres (1.9 mi.) long, 152 metres wide (500 ft.) and 172 metres deep (362 ft.).
