Places of Interest - Lone Plot Has a Story
A popular local tale involves the town Cemetery. As you drive by you may notice 1 plot is far outside of the rest of the cemetery. Local tales would have you believe she was a "lady of the night" and when she passed she was not welcome with the rest of the town residents. She's resting peacefully outside of the caragana bushes but not because of her past or history. She's outside because of a surveying error! She was the 1st resident buried there and they messed up! Leaving her on the outside of the designated cemetery.

Their General Store is a great place to fill up on gas and snacks for any road tripping you may find yourself doing. There is no additional modes of transportation found here and you won't find any hotels or places to stay outside of the campground. Thank you for exploring Granum Andrea Horning
Very interesting how Granum is now called a hamlet - I haven't heard that term in ages, I like it. Well done Andrea cool)
Janel Coe we actually have quite a few little hamlets in the west. I love exploring the tiniest little towns and admire the laid back lifestyle they enjoy.
Love their town sign
Thinking of the cemetery, it's interesting how legends arise and how mundane the truth might be. Amusing story.
Great review of Granum, Andrea! Even a small hamlet has history, I very much enjoyed the story.
My grand parents (the weerstra's) use to take care of the park. I use to love coming here when I was little. I'm happy to see the train is still there
