McLeod Park is a sightseeing destination located on the shores of Lake of the Woods in the community of Kenora, Ontario, Canada.

McLeod Park is the most popular sightseeing park in the community. The park is located on the north end of the waterfront pathway which is referred to as the Harbourfront greenbelt.

The highlights of the park include "Huskie the Muskie", the water fountain referred to as the "Goodwill Geyser" and the historic McMillan Tugboat.

"Huskie the Muskie" is the community mascot located in McLeod Park. The giant fish stands 12 metres (40 feet) tall and weighs in at just over 2.2 tons.

The mascot represents the fish named the muskellunge which is a prominent fish in the waters of Lake of the Woods. The slogan attached to "Huskie the Muskie" is "Prevent Water Pollution".

The "Goodwill Geyser" is a giant water fountain which sprays water 75 metres (210 feet) into the air at regular intervals. There is a sightseeing platform looking out over the Lake of the Woods and the "Goodwill Geyser".

The historic McMillan Tugboat located on the other side of the road opposite the parking lot is a reminder of the long history Kenora shares with the forestry industry. The tugboat once transported logs to the local paper mill.

Throughout the park grounds are beautiful flower gardens and artistic rock formations. For your convenience there are sightseeing benches, picnic tables and grass lawns in the area for relaxing and for sightseeing.

How To Get ToMcLeod Park

:
Pedestrian : From the waterfront in downtown Kenora, Ontario walk north on the pathway referred to as the Harbourfront greenbelt. Mcleod Park is located at the northern end of the waterfront.

Drive : Travel north and then west from downtown Kenora on Lakeview Drive (Highway #17) for about 1 kilometre. The park will be on your left..
