The region is ideal and appealing to the avid bird watcher, naturalist, hiker and photographer. The lake draws many people to the area with canoes and the gravel roads leading deep into the woods, while they attract the mountain bikers, 4X4 vehicles, ATVs and horseback riders.

The 142 hectare Sargeant Bay Provincial Park was designated as a protected area because of the fragile coastline ecology of the area including the exposed marine life at low tide, the rocky headlands and the forested uplands area.

The route is an advanced mountain bike adventure that covers 7.5 km (4.5 mi.) climbing steep logging roads, cutting through forests, getting air time while gaining some speed downhill.

The Broughton Archipelago is one of the most beautiful, remote and untouched boating, sailing and kayaking destinations in and around the northern end of Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia (BC), Canada. It is not as well known as other boating destinations, like the Broken Islands

Mount Daniel Hiking Trail is an uphill climb covering 3-4 km (1.8 - 2.5 mi.) each way. The hike up the steep grade should take (1-2 hr ) to reach the peak. Coming back takes less time as you trek down the mountain.
