1 kilometre one-way path (2 kilometres return trip) leading to a beautiful waterfall located near the community. The path first explores along a high mountain ridge and then drops into a canyon forest of Lodgepole Pine, Trembling Aspen and White Spruce trees.. then treats you to a waterfall.

Part of a massive trail network exploring the lower slopes of Hudson Bay Mountain, especially the south facing slopes called the Smithers Community Forest.

The Lower Viewpoint Trail is a short 200 metre walk to a large wooden viewing platform looking out onto the falls, up Murray River and out over the whole valley. A 60 metre waterfall located in Monkman Provincial Park situated on the Murray River in the Hart Ranges of the Rocky Mountains.

Tumbler Ridge

A short hiking trail leads to Twin Falls which attracts people of all ages to the area every year so they can get a glimpse of the side-by-side, brother and sister waterfalls.

All three sections have sandy beach access to Lakelse Lake - a very beautiful lake complimented by the Kitimat Mountain Range in the background. The activities most enjoyed in the park include hiking, canoeing, boating, windsurfing, swimming, fishing, camping and sightseeing.

Established in 1918, the park is British Columbia's third oldest park attracting people to the region who enjoy swimming, canoeing, camping, boating, fishing and birdwatching.

Dawson Creek

The wildlife sanctuary is the first virgin eco system set aside for the declining population of the north coast Grizzly Bear. Khutzeymateen/K'tzim-a-Deen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary is the main part (45,000 hectares) of the 380,000 hectare no hunting zone.

Terrace

It is an easy-going short hiking trail (150 metres maybe) through a forest along the banks of the Hixon River which connects to a canyon and Hixon Falls. The canyon is home to chutes, river rapids, protective pools and swimming holes. It all depends on the season too, as river levels will fluctuate
