Telkwa Village is a small riverfront community on the shores of the Bulkley and Telkwa Rivers, east of the community of Smithers, BC., Canada. The Village of Telkwa is rich in history, close to major adventure parks, activity destinations, rivers and lakes.

The Hagwilget Canyon Bridge is a sightseeing spectacle that some miss unfortunately when touring, because they did not know it existed near the Village of New Hazelton, British Columbia, Canada. The bridge is a spectacular viewing area for overseeing the Hagwilget Canyon and the Bulkley River.

All three sections have sandy beach access to Lakelse Lake - a very beautiful lake complimented by the Kitimat Mountain Range in the background. The activities most enjoyed in the park include hiking, canoeing, boating, windsurfing, swimming, fishing, camping and sightseeing.

Terrace

Circling the lake is a well maintained 6.7 kilometre (3.8 mi.) trail used by hikers and mountain bikers. The route follows, a mainly, hard packed earthy trail crossing over many bridges and boardwalk which protect the most ecological sensitive areas in the region.

The Lower Viewpoint Trail is a short 200 metre walk to a large wooden viewing platform looking out onto the falls, up Murray River and out over the whole valley. A 60 metre waterfall located in Monkman Provincial Park situated on the Murray River in the Hart Ranges of the Rocky Mountains.

Tumbler Ridge

The park is surrounded by trees, backed by mountains and situated in a rural neighborhood. Being that is so close to the community of Smithers, BC it is visited by many during the summer months for swimming, canoeing and fishing.

A unique fishing village situated on pylons and rustic docks connected by raised wooden boardwalk paths leading to spanning views overlooking Inverness Passage.

A wilderness outdoor playground enjoyed by many located north of the community of Smithers. Year round, people travel to the Babine Mountains Provincial Park to explore one of the many trails in the region leading to majestic mountain peaks, valley meadows, alpine forests, rivers and lakes.

It is an easy-going short hiking trail (150 metres maybe) through a forest along the banks of the Hixon River which connects to a canyon and Hixon Falls. The canyon is home to chutes, river rapids, protective pools and swimming holes. It all depends on the season too, as river levels will fluctuate

Bourbor Falls Trail in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada is a short 800 metre path connecting to a cliff side viewpoint looking out over a river at Boubor Falls. The 1 hour return hike provides a great opportunity to view a towering waterfall without a long, hard hike.

The 62,867 hectare park includes a campground, wilderness campsites and features the 60 metre Kinuseo Waterfall and the 72 kilometre Monkman Trail exploring mountains, lakes, and raging rivers finding waterfalls.

The extensive trail network is accessed by cross country skiers in the winter and mountain bikers and hikers in the summer. Some of the routes lead to wildlife viewing areas while others lead to viewpoints and wilderness cabins.
