There are three trailhead entrances leading visitors to the summit. The trails leading to the summit are considered moderately-difficult because of the elevation hiking required.
Some of the activities enjoyed in the park include picnicking, sightseeing, beachcombing, swimming and hiking. There is a short hiking trail following the shoreline exploring through trees leading from the parking lot to the day use area.
Brickyard Beach is located on False Narrows. The narrows separate Gabriola Island from Mudge Island and Vancouver Island. From the shore of the beach there are views of birds and marine activity. There are boats and kayaks often exploring the area.
The Beautiful Bay Trail is a moderate hike along an earthy trail. The 5 kilometre route explores through the island's forest leading to hill tops with views of the surrounding ocean waters. The most popular viewpoint are the Malcolm and Numas Lookouts.
The highlights of Roesland attract people to the park. Some of the highlights include Row House (the museum), the hiking trail to the tip of Roe Islet (amazing marine views) and the hiking trail to Roe Lake located above Shingle Bay.
