The Kw'as Park hiking trails explore through some old growth and second growth forests leading to viewpoints and many points of interest. The park measures 70 hectares (173 acres). There are oceanfront trails and forested trails with alder, pine, red cedar and spruce trees.It is said that 20% of the trees are old growth forest.

These Cortes Island hiking trails explore wetland areas, the shores of Hague and Gunflint Lakes and some summits. Some of the points of interest to consider visiting when exploring the trails in the park include Swim Rocks, Easter Bluffs, a historic Steam Donkey and some Inca Ruins.

How To Get ToKw'as Park Hiking Trails

:
From the BC Ferry Terminal travel on Whaletown Road and take a right on Gorge Harbour Road. Continue to Seaford Road and take another right and park near the Cortes Motel. To access the south trailhead continue past the motel and take a left on Sutil Point Road and then a left again on Bartholomew Road. Continue and tale another left on Haque Road and then a right on Kw'as Bay Rd and park.
