Assiniboine Riverbank Trail is the main recreation trail system following the banks of the Assiniboine River and exploring the community of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.

The Assiniboine River Corridor is a popular destination for hiking, biking, rollerblading, and jogging during the summer months and cross country skiing during the winter months. The trail is an ideal route for sightseeing the community of Brandon.

The riverbank trail system measures 17 kilometres long and consists of a interconnecting system of smaller trails. Some of the smaller trails include the Westbran, Red Willow, Vireo, Arbour, Interpretive Ponds, Native Grass, Kirkcaldy, East Dyke, 8th Street and 1st Street Trails.

The main starting point for the Assiniboine Riverbank Trail is the Riverbank Discovery Centre. However... it is important to note that there are many other access points to the trail network located throughout the community.

The Riverbank Discovery Centre is an information centre for travelers, as well as, a gift shop, parking lot for RVs, an RV sani dump, an educational centre and a day use picnic area.

The Assiniboine Riverbank Trail System consists of a network of recreation trails, both paved and gravel - some with night lights. For the most part the trail connects to various parks, attractions and recreation facilities while following the banks of the Assiniboine River.

Some of the parks connecting to the trail include the Queen Elizabeth Park, Eleanor Kidd Park & Gardens, Turtle Crossing, Dinsdale Park, Skateboard Park and the Optimist Soccer Park.

Some of the facilities and attractions the Assiniboine Riverbank Trail system connects to includes the Brandon Recreation Centre, Labyrinth of Peace Project, Wheat City Golf Course, Skating Oval and not far off the trail is the Canada Games Sportsplex and Corral Centre.

How To Get ToAssiniboine Riverbank Trail

Travel the Trans Canada Hwy (Hwy #1) to Brandon Manitoba. From downtown Brandon travel north on 18th Street, over the Assiniboine River, to Grand Valley Road and take a right. Not far after you turn take another right on Conservation Drive. Continue to the main trail access point at the Riverbank Discovery Centre.
