The Rainforest Trail is a sightseeing forested boardwalk trail located in the Pacific Rim National Park near the Villages of Tofino and Ucluelet, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Rainforest Trail

The Rainforest Hiking Trail is divided into two loop trails intersected by the Pacific Rim Highway. The highway divides the Rainforest Trail into 1 kilometer trails called "Loop A" and "Loop B".

The hiking trail is full of ups and downs. There are sections which include some big stairs. Every now and then there are resting benches. Most are located before or after stair climbs.

Along the hiking route are interpretive signs and viewing platforms. "Loop A" information signs explain the history and life cycles of a rainforest. "Loop B" talks about the forest environment and the wildlife living in the forest.

Bring a camera as there are some giants along the trail, most noticeably are the red cedar and western hemlock trees. Throughout the hike you are surrounded by lush environments consisting of ferns, moss and lichens. Hidden in the forest floor are scurrying wildlife. You can hear them but not always see them.

All visitors to the park must have a Park Use Permit.
