The Pacific Rim National Park is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The park is world renown for its remote sandy beaches, surfing, beach-combing, photography, wildlife watching, wilderness camping opportunities, kayaking, hiking and backpacking.

Pacific Rim National Park Photo Gallery The Pacific Rim National Park covers over 13,000 hectares. Of that 6000 hectares is designated a marine park and 7000 is on land. The park is divided into three sections (1) the sandy beaches between the communities of Tofino and Ucluelet, (2) the tough 70+ kilometre backpacking trail called The West Coast Trail (3) the popular boating and kayaking destination referred to as the Broken Islands Group.

There are many numerous beaches and hiking trails in the Tofino and Ucluelet region of the park. Accommodations, campgrounds and various attractions are available in each community.

A PARK PERMIT is required to enter the park. There are machines at some sites in the park or permits can be purchased in the nearest community or ranger station.
