Kootenay Parks and Trails

Martha Creek Provincial Park is a destination park. Some of the activities enjoyed when visiting in the park include boating, canoeing, swimming, fishing, camping and picnics. Some stay for a few days in the campground, while others enjoy the lake activities and day use facilities.

Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is popular for its sandy beaches, lakes and trails located west of Fernie, BC on the eastern shores of Koocanusa Lake popular for canoeing, biking, swimming, birdwatching, fishing, boating, camping and hiking .

Lower Arrow Lake is a popular summer destination for many activities including boating, swimming, sailing, canoeing, camping, wind surfing, birdwatching and fishing. The lake is well stocked with fish including rainbow, gerrard, kokanee and bull trout plus barbot and whitefish.

Shelter Bay Provincial Park covers over 93 hectares. The park includes a day use area and a campground. The day use area rests on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake and enjoys a sandy beach with a swimming area, picnic tables and pit toilets.

Revelstoke

Seven Summits Ridge Trail is one of the more scenic, long-haul recreation trails situated in the mountains behind the community of Rossland, BC. The 31 kilometre trail is a sightseeing adventure in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada exploring mountain peaks and ridges.

Hosmer Mountain Trail leads up to a peak offering far reaching views of the valley below. The mountain recreation trail is tucked away in the back country forests located north of Fernie, BC in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada.
