Welcome to the Town of Claresholm!
 

 Claresholm, Alberta, Canada is located halfway between Lethbridge and Calgary in southern Alberta in the Willow Creek Foothills District. As well as, the Foothills are home to many authentic Alberta events and things to do. Claresholm was incorporated as a town the same year Alberta became a province-1905. Claresholm was named after a pioneer citizen named Clare.

Activities most enjoyed in Claresholm Alberta Canada and area include Claresholm Fair Days which takes place the 2nd weekend in August every year. 

Likewise there are attractions and adventures like the Claresholm District Museum, Public Library, Geocaching, Sightseeing, Unique Visitor Information Centre, Fishing, Golfing, Disc Golf, Hiking, Swimming, Biking, Camping, Watersports, Wildlife Viewing, History tours, Spray Park, Drama Events, Agriplex Events, Skateboard Park and many sporting centres and their events.

Claresholm Alberta has many parks scattered around town. For example, Centennial Park is the main park with the Harvard Memorial, Spray Park, Campground and more all in one place. There is even a park you cannot get to from any main roads, a hidden park. 

The golf course is a great place to spend the day, finishing off with a nice dinner at their restaurant. Located very close to Willow Creek Park as well as multiple lakes within an hour. Pine Coulee is a popular fishing and boating lake very close to town. Porcupine Hills is a great hiking area, Chain Lakes are great for fishing and wildlife viewing.

Claresholm Natural Attractions, Art, Historical Sites, & Culture

The water tower in town is very cool, over 100 years old. The Museum is a must do while in the area to learn about the local history of the wars and so much more.  There are a few historic murals around town to view. The Visitor Information Centre is a must see. Carmangay is located 46km east of Claresholm and has a historical Teepee Ring site. Clarseholm Fair Days are the 2nd weekend in August and bring out the best of the town. Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Heritage Site is located 51km south-west. In Nanton The Bomber Command Museum of Canada is a rare peek at some cool history.
