Blue Mountain is a recreation destination measuring 583 hectares (1440 acres) designed for xc skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter and hiking, canoeing and kayaking in the summer. Located 32 kilometres northeast of the Battlefords.
Finlayson Island is a year round recreation destination. During the summer the island is a very popular location for hiking, picnicking, fishing and birding. In the winter months the trails become cross country ski trails.
Redberry Lake is a birdwatching wilderness destination with over 200 local and migrating bird species sighted including songbirds, shore birds, predator birds and waterfowl. The parkland is a World Biosphere Reserve.
Battlefords Goose Project is a 127 acre man made wetland located next to the boreal forest and prairie grasslands. There are walking trails and a birdwatching tower.
Centennial Park is a 36 hectare (90 acre) recreation park with baseball diamonds, track and field, soccer fields, tennis courts, lawn bowling greens, walking trails and cross country ski trails.
Battlefords Provincial Park is on the eastern shore of Jackfish Lake and measures about 14 hectares (34 acres) in size. There is a white sandy beach, campgrounds, day use area and many opportunities for water sport activities
