Frog Falls Recreation Site is a small campground and day-use area in the Kootenay region of British Columbia Canada. Located less than 30 minutes west of Revelstoke, just off the Trans Canada Highway, west of Three Valley Gap. However coming from the west of BC, Frog Falls is found 40 minutes east of Sicamous.

Frog Falls Campground is just a small simple unserviced campground offering beautiful peaceful scenery located along Wap Creek. Enjoy large moss-covered old-growth trees towering around this area. There are pit vault toilets available at the campground. As well as picnic tables and fire pits at each site. 

Campsites at Waterfall Site

There are only 5 campsites at the Frog Falls Recreation Site,  each with enough room for a large tent or very small trailer. There are no fees posted for this campground. Pets are welcome at the campground. Conveniently making it a free first come first serve system as of the date of this article. 

How To Get To Frog Falls Camping

Easily found along the Wap Lake Forest Service Road 4.3 km off of the Trans Canada Highway east. Caution is needed while driving as Wap Lake Forest Service Road is an active industrial road - using a two-way radio with resource road channels is recommended to be safe. Otherwise, be prepared for large trucks traveling along Wap Lake Forest Road. 

It is a Sicamous and Revelstoke Waterfall Adventure

Follow the easy-to-moderate trail upstream from Frog Falls Campground along Wap Creek for 1km to reach a stunning 80ft waterfall nestled in the old-growth forest of British Columbia, Canada. Alternatively, with a high clearance vehicle, you can drive the backroad, located beside the campground, up to the hydro facility until the road ends for a shorter starting point. From the hydro facility, you're only a few hundred meters from the waterfall. The trail around Frog Falls is easy to find and follow as it brings you along the banks of Wap Creek. There are no safety features around Frog Falls so make sure to be aware of your footing and stay safe while exploring around the falls.
